About

Element Behavioral Health

Element Behavioral Health is a neuro-affirming ABA practice supporting children and teens through client-led therapy. Our mission is to empower every neurodivergent individual to thrive in their Element.

We specialize in focused Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy, grounded in a neuro-affirming approach to care. At Element, we are not here to “fix” autism or suppress neurodivergent traits- we embrace the uniqueness of the individuals we serve. Every client at Element intentionally receives a reduced therapy schedule, typically between 10–20 hours per week (based on clinical need). This allows for flexibility, balance, and a greater focus on the goals that matter most to each individual and their family.

Element is also redefining what ABA care looks like. Our Board-Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) go beyond traditional supervisory roles. Each BCBA works directly with their clients for at least 20% of the total therapy hours. This hands-on model allows BCBAs to develop deeper insight into their clients’ needs, build stronger therapeutic relationships, and make more responsive, data-informed decisions. For the remaining hours, a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) provides direct support, with the assigned BCBA overseeing 10–20% of those hours each week through ongoing supervision.

We recognize that our approach may not be the right fit for everyone. Some individuals may benefit from a more intensive or comprehensive model of care- and that’s okay. We are committed to providing services that honor each person’s unique needs and preferences. If needed, we are happy to connect families with other providers who may be better suited to meet those needs.

Our Services

Our Services

At Element, we’re redefining ABA by offering neuro-affirming care that truly honors and supports the unique individuals we serve. We focus on what matters most to your family, creating an approach that celebrates neurodiversity and empowers your child to thrive. See how our personalized ABA services could make a meaningful difference for your family below.

Focused Care

At Element, we understand that 30-40 hours of therapy a week can feel overwhelming and unrealistic for many families. That’s why we offer focused ABA care- 10 to 20 hours a week, designed to target meaningful goals without taking over your life. Our flexible, family-friendly approach supports real progress while still giving kids the freedom to just be kids.

Neuro-Affirming Care

Too often, families hesitate to seek support because of the traditional ABA approach of compliance-based learning. At Element, we do not teach compliance, rather, we embrace neurodiversity and design care that builds on each client’s unique strengths- never trying to “fix” them but helping them thrive as their authentic selves.

Therapy, in your Element

We know life is busy, and juggling appointments across town can feel exhausting. That’s why Element comes to you. Whether at home, school, or in the community, we meet you where you are- making therapy more accessible, more natural, and less disruptive to your day-to-day life. By supporting your child in their everyday environments, we help build skills that truly stick.

Client-led Care

Have you experienced therapy where your child wasn’t truly heard or supported in the way they learn best? When care is focused on compliance rather than connection, it can feel overwhelming for both kids and caregivers. At Element, we take a client-led, play-based, and assent-driven approach that is always rooted in respect. We meet each child in their element, creating a space where they feel safe, happy, and understood, because that’s when meaningful learning happens. In short, therapy at Element is done with your child, not to them.

Caregiver Support

Caregiver support is often overlooked in traditional therapy, leaving families feeling isolated and without the guidance they need. At Element, we believe that collaboration with caregivers is the key to success. That’s why we ensure built-in support from the start with two caregiver support hours each month. This dedicated time is a core part of our care approach, helping families feel equipped, heard, and empowered. We discuss this commitment with each family before beginning services, making sure our approach is the right fit for them.

Let's THRIVE, Together

Whole-Family Approach

At Element, we understand that managing ABA therapy alongside everyday life can feel overwhelming, and that’s why we are committed to being with you every step of the way. We take a whole-family approach to care because we know the success of ABA therapy depends on the support and involvement of those who know the child best. To make the journey easier for families, we provide dedicated caregiver support from the start. We require all caregivers to commit to at least 2 hours of monthly support meetings with their BCBA- ensuring they have the knowledge, tools, and confidence to be active partners in their child’s progress. This commitment is discussed with each family before beginning services, so everyone is aligned from day one.
Thrive in Your Element

Helping your Child Thrive

We understand that children with Autism Spectrum Disorder can face challenges in areas like social skills, daily living, and communication, making it more difficult for them to thrive in everyday environments. At Element, our ABA therapy is designed to help your child develop these key skills, empowering them to navigate social interactions, daily tasks, and communicate more confidently. With the right support, your child will have the opportunity to develop skills that may help them engage more effectively in less restrictive settings, promoting a greater sense of independence and confidence.

Daily Living Skills

ABA therapy can support your child in developing essential daily living and self-care skills, such as washing hands, dressing, and following routines. At Element, we tailor our approach to help children build these skills at their own pace, in an effort to make everyday tasks easier for both them and their caregivers

Social Skills

ABA can support your child in developing key social skills for success at home, school, and in the community. Whether it’s initiating conversations, resolving conflicts, collaborating with peers, or recognizing social cues, we understand how challenging these skills can be. Our approach focuses on helping your child engage more confidently and comfortably in social situations.

Communication Skills

At Element, we celebrate your child’s unique communication style and tailor our approach to fit their needs. We work closely with your child's speech therapist, when applicable, to create a seamless, supportive experience that fosters their communication growth every step of the way.

School Readiness

We understand that the transition into school can feel overwhelming, and we’re here to help support that process. At Element, we offer services within the school environment, when permitted, to promote consistency and success across settings. When clinically appropriate and requested, our team can also attend IEP meetings as part of your child’s support team, helping make the experience more cohesive and aligned.

Supporting Behaviors of Concern with Compassion and Care

At Element, we believe that every behavior is a form of communication. We focus on supporting behaviors that may impact a child’s ability to thrive in less restrictive environments, always with a compassionate, hands-off, and neuro-affirming approach. Our goal is to help children engage in these environments in a way that honors their autonomy, ensuring that we are only intervening on behaviors that hinder their progress or pose a risk of harm to themselves or others.

We take a hands-off approach to intervention across all behaviors, including self-stimulatory behaviors (stimming), as we recognize these can be important self-regulation tools for many neurodivergent individuals. Unless there is a direct risk of harm, we do not target behaviors like stimming.

Our priority is to understand the root causes of behaviors, collaborating closely with families to ensure interventions are the least restrictive and most respectful of the child’s unique needs. In cases where a child requires more intensive intervention, we may recommend other providers who specialize in those areas. This will be assessed during the intake process and continually throughout our services to ensure we’re meeting your child’s needs.
